NEWS FLASH
After much debate and discussion, Millcreek Fire Hall and I have decided to
Cancel our Saturday dances during the summer months. 
With warm weather and the beaches so close, many folks take off for the weekends.
No Millcreek Dances for May, June, July & August 2009
We will START UP again with our first Saturday dance on September 26, 2009!
Thank you for your continued support throughout the year!  Saturdays are a blast when we're at Millcreek!

It was said by Sigmund Freud many years ago that "we are all brought to this world for a reason and once we find our reason for being, we find peace for our soul".  Well, it might be stretching it a bit to say Joanne Brady was born for dancing, but then again, it might not! One thing is for sure she was born to teach.

No matter where she teaches, Joanne Brady is remembered for her instruction, her humor and her infectious energy! While passing her class, you’ll probably hear, "Yes, Joanne!" coming from the mouths of eager, enthusiastic students; so, it’s no wonder, Joanne has earned herself a star in the dance instructor's hall of fame!  She has been nominated for many different awards.

2007 Hall of Fame for winning Female Personality 3 years in a row

2005 Female Instructor of the Year
2005 Female Personality
These awards are nominated by and voted for by the dancers in the dance community around the world.

Joanne began teaching 17 years ago, after taking private lessons. She recruited dancers for a weekly TV show "The Country Video Dance Show" in Wilmington, DE. She then saw Scooter Lee in concert, danced the whole time Scooter performed and the rest is history!

She has choreographed countless dances, many of which have been published in dance magazines and newspapers.  She's traveled extensively throughout the world. She says her most interesting places to teach have been Singapore, Scotland, Wales, Australia, Malaysia, and at the Millennium Dome in England for 27,000 people where 7000 of them were dancers!  Even with all her traveling, Joanne still has time to teach 6 classes a week in Delaware. 

Joanne is now retired but worked for 16 years teaching mentally challenged students and worked another 18 years as an administrative secretary in school transportation. Joanne says she is an avid reader (mostly in airports) as she spends much of her time, now, traveling to teach and judge. In 1994 Joanne was told  "You possess a gift which you don’t even know you have". Prophetic words indeed. If you have had the opportunity and good fortune to meet and learn from Joanne Brady, you know this statement is so true! Don’t miss taking a class from this comedic dynamo! You’ll be glad you did!
